What do reading detectives do?

In our sessions every morning at 10 o'clock,

🍳we talk

🍳 we read 

🍳we listen 

🍳we watch video clips 

🍳we draw 

🍳we create 

🍳we write and 

🍳we HAVE TREASURE HUNTS. 

We are good detectives and we can always make sense of the words we find by putting them in to sentences to read. We look closely for clues when we read - words we know, chunks of sounds we know, what makes sense, going back and reading the sentence again and using what we already know to help us. 

We keep asking ourselves DOES IT MAKE SENSE?
